The flags outside Daphne's City Hall flew at half staff following news that Mayor Bailey Yelding had died in his home on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
Yelding, 72, suffered from cancer and died in his home, according to city attorney Jay Ross. After serving on the city council for a number of years, he was appointed in 2011 as the city's first black mayor after Fred Small resigned.
