June 13: Targeting insurance liens
A Mobile Company called Tower Properties, LLC, sent letters offering to help property owners with tax liens resolve them in what they refer to as an "affordable solution with a fixed and manageable monthly payment." Mobile County Revenue Commissioner Marilyn Woods said the owners may not realize what the company is offering could cost them an additional 20 to 30 percent interest on their tax bill.
